Digital Design Program

Miami Community Charter School’s Digital Design Program gives students the opportunity to combine creativity and technology while developing practical skills in graphic design, illustration, animation, and web design.

Through hands-on projects and industry-standard Adobe applications, students learn how to transform ideas into professional digital content. The program also prepares students for Adobe Certified Professional certifications recognized by schools, colleges, and employers.

Digital Design 1

Students are introduced to the principles of digital design and visual communication. They learn how color, typography, images, and layout work together to communicate a message effectively.

Using Adobe Photoshop, students may create and edit digital images, design graphics, enhance photographs, and prepare visual content for print and digital use.

Digital Design 2

Grade 10 – Year 2

Students build upon their foundational design knowledge and develop more advanced graphic-design and illustration skills.

Using Adobe Illustrator, students may create vector graphics, logos, illustrations, typography, and other scalable visual elements for professional design projects.

Digital Design 3

Students expand their skills into animation and interactive digital media. Using Adobe Animate, they may create animated graphics, interactive content, and multimedia experiences.

Students apply design principles, storytelling, movement, timing, and technical skills to produce engaging digital projects.

Digital Design 4

Students develop web-design skills using Adobe Dreamweaver and apply their previous experience in graphics, illustration, and animation to digital projects.

Students may learn how to plan, create, organize, test, and improve websites while considering visual design, usability, navigation, and audience needs.
