YOLA National Leadership Summit
July 29 - July 30
The Los Angeles Philharmonic and Youth Orchestra LA (YOLA) hosted the YOLA National
Leadership Summit at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, July 29 – 30, 2024. This
Summit brought together music educators and organizational leaders from Cultural Arts
Institutions and the Sistema-Inspired Music Community for a 2-day intensive that highlighted
socially responsible arts programming and applications of this practice in youth-inspired and
youth-led programs across the country.
Cesar Rangel, Founder & Director with Youth Enlightenment System
(Y.E.S.), participated in this Summit and collaborative learning initiative. This collaborative exchange was an important step in our
community, as we came together to explore tangible teaching and learning strategies and build
deep connections with a national cohort of practitioners.
