Together We Are Stronger- Helping Hands Event-Manos que ayudan

Helping hands and caring hearts decorated Friday, May 10^th, at Miami Community Charter High School.

With the help of MCCS teachers and fellow students, the MCCS students of the Elementary Bilingual Program were given the opportunity to participate in the Together We Are Stronger-Helping Hands Event.

The mission of this event was to collect and donate school supplies for Venezuelan kids in need. The collected school supplies will be sent to the students in Colombia assisting the elementary school, Colegio Tecnico Domingo Faustino.

During this sunny Friday, the elementary kids were able to enjoy fun activities, healthful snacks, and heartwarming Skype video calls with elementary students in Colombia. The highlight of the day was the revelation of the mural created by the High School students. This mural is a symbol of peace, and also represents our support towards Venezuela.

It was a unique and unforgettable day for Miami Community Charter School and the participants.

We hope for the best, and for future collaborations to help those in need.
