WHAT IS THE ADVANCE PROGRAM ABOUT?

MCCS’ Advance Programs are career technical courses that provide students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and develop skills they will use throughout their careers. All programs offer Industry Certifications at the end of graduation. These programs offer coursework in addition to High School Graduation Requirements.

ABOUT MICROSOFT IT ACADEMY:

Students who choose a career in Network Systems provide support in software application, hardware configuration and troubleshooting, networking technologies, security, and administration.

ABOUT HEALTH SCIENCE & MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY:

Students who choose a career as an Electrocardiograph Aide handle day to day medical office activities such as: greeting the patient, performing laboratory tests, administering electrocardiograms, supervising equipment and instruments used in examining rooms.

Students who choose a career as a Medical Laboratory Assistant prepare patients for laboratory test procedures and in some instances perform routine medical lab tests and procedures under supervision. They also learn to record and analyze test results.

ABOUT DIGITAL ARTS:

Students who choose a career in Multimedia Technology are prepared for employment in digital media, new media, and multimedia positions.

 

Bilingual Program visits Cinepolis USA  in CocoWalk alongside the Mexican Consulate

 

Cinepolis USA and  the Mexican Consulate invited students of the Miami Community Charter School Bilingual Program to Cinepolis in Cocowalk (Coconut Grove on November 9th  This was an initiative called “Let´s all go to the movies” which invites children from different cities to spend a day at a Cinepolis location nearby, watching a movie, and having different activities.

Participating students included the Bilingual Program (Kinder and First Grade) and  those who are enrolled in Spanish courses in the Middle School (6th Grade).

During the day, the children watched  the “Angry Birds” movie and received free popcorn, soda and gifts at the end of the activity.
